BL-99
Five-step Galilean optics, LED illumination, and integrated diagnostic filters for direct clinical examination.

Five magnification steps
A direct view, precisely controlled.
The BL-99 is built for clinicians who want a capable optical slit lamp without an integrated imaging system. Its five-step Galilean microscope, adjustable LED slit, and built-in filter set keep the essential examination controls together in a straightforward platform for daily patient care.
Five magnifications, one optical path
A rotating drum moves through 6×, 10×, 16×, 25×, and 40× magnification. The corresponding fields of view narrow from 33 mm at 6× to 5.5 mm at 40×, giving the clinician a clear progression from broad orientation to focused inspection without changing eyepieces.
The 12.5× eyepieces provide a 50–82 mm interpupillary adjustment range and +7 D to −7 D diopter correction for a comfortable binocular setup.

Shape the slit to the examination
LED illumination produces a bright, sharply defined examination beam. Slit width adjusts continuously from 0 to 14 mm, slit height from 1 to 14 mm, and the slit rotates through 180 degrees for flexible observation.
Inclination settings at 0°, 5°, 10°, 15°, and 20° add another level of control, while spot diameters from 0.2 mm to 14 mm support both concentrated and broad illumination.

Built-in filters, ready at the control
The BL-99 combines heat-absorption, neutral-density, red-free, cobalt-blue, and yellow barrier filters within the illumination system.
- Yellow barrier
- The yellow barrier filter works with cobalt-blue illumination to increase the visible contrast of fluorescein staining.
- Cobalt blue
- Cobalt-blue illumination supports fluorescein-based examination of the corneal surface and contact lens fit.
- Neutral density
- Neutral-density filtration lowers illumination intensity while maintaining the color balance of the observed field.
- Red-free
- Red-free viewing increases the contrast of vascular structures and fine tissue detail during examination.
The integrated filter controls make it possible to change the viewing condition without interrupting instrument positioning.
Room to position with precision
The base travels 110 mm from side to side, 90 mm forward and back, and 30 mm vertically. An 80 mm chin-rest adjustment helps align the patient with the optical system across a wide working range.
A clear joystick area and patient handrail keep the controls accessible as the clinician moves between magnification levels and illumination angles.

Clinical essentials, without the imaging layer
The BL-99 keeps the examination centered on direct binocular observation rather than built-in photography or video. A tonometer mounting base and standardized accessory connections allow compatible clinical tools to be incorporated when the practice requires them.
