8 MP CCD slit lamp

BL-9C

Lower-mounted illumination, five-step magnification, and a built-in 8-megapixel CCD bring direct observation and digital image capture together.

Front view

A lower profile. A complete visual record.

The BL-9C takes a different approach to the digital slit lamp: its illumination assembly sits below the viewing optics, while a built-in 8-megapixel CCD brings image capture into the examination instrument. Five magnification settings and familiar tabletop controls connect a direct binocular view with a photographic record to revisit.

Light positioned below the viewing line

The lower-mounted illumination assembly gives the BL-9C its distinctive layout. The light source sits beneath the microscope, with the illumination arm and its controls arranged around the lower part of the instrument.

Observation and illumination remain separately adjustable, allowing the clinician to position the viewing system and the beam for the examination. This lower illumination configuration is the defining difference in the BL-9C’s physical design.

Move through the view in five steps

The magnification selector offers 6×, 10×, 16×, 25×, and 40× settings. Move from a broader view to a closer inspection with a turn of the drum, keeping the examination centered on the same instrument.

Binocular eyepieces provide the direct optical view, while the accessible selector makes magnification changes part of a continuous examination workflow.

An 8-megapixel CCD, already built in

The BL-9C includes a built-in CCD with 8-megapixel resolution. Digital image capture is part of the instrument itself, bringing examination and clinical photography into one platform.

Use the resulting images as a visual reference for case documentation, professional discussion, and patient education. The combination of direct observation and recorded detail helps carry the examination into the conversations that follow.

Bring the instrument into position

A central joystick and carriage place the positioning controls directly in front of the examiner. The chin rest and forehead support provide the patient-side reference points, with the microscope and illumination system arranged around them.

This familiar tabletop layout brings together patient positioning, beam adjustment, magnification, and image capture in a single clinical workspace.
